avast! Standard Suite
avast! Standard Suite is a package of products that provides virus protection for Windows-based servers and workstations. The Standard Suite contains the following components:
- avast! Professional Edition (or, avast! NetClient Edition for use with ADNM) for the protection of workstations
- avast! Server Edition (or, avast! NetServer Edition for use with ADNM) for the protection of servers
- avast! Distributed Network Manager (ADNM) for central administration
Please note that the Standard Suite does not provide any protection of mail servers (such as Exchange or Linux MTA's). For a more complete solution, please consider our Advanced and Enterprise Suites.
avast! Standard Suite is available for upwards of 10 licenses (which covers up to 10 machines of which up to two are servers). Generally, the maximum number of servers is determined as the number of licenses divided by ten, plus one. For example, a 24-license suite covers up to 3 servers. A 100-license pack covers up to 11 servers, and so on.

Pricing example
Your company is using 89 workstations with Windows XP and 10 Windows 2003 Servers. Traditionally, you'd need to purchase 89 licenses of avast! Professional Edition and 10 licenses of avast! Server Edition.
This means that for a 1-year contract, you'd have to buy 10 avast! Server Editions (10 x $249) and 89 avast! Professional Editions (89 x $17.95) - i.e., the final price would be $4787.55.
If you take the Suite approach, however, you'll simply pay for 100 licenses of the Suite, that is 100 x $25.59 = $2559. This is a $1528.55 (almost 40%) saving!
Volume discounts
As you can see from the table above, the price per license decreases with the number of licenses. In some cases, you can even purchase more licenses for less! For example, imagine you need protection for a 45-node network for 1 year. The list price of 45 licenses of avast! Standard Suite is 45 x $34.95 = $1572.75; however, 50 licenses of the same product would cost 50 x $29.95 = $1497.50! You don't have to use all of the licenses straight away, but as your business grows they may become useful in the future.
